A extended voyage circling Australia is being halted following the fatal incident of an elderly woman who was abandoned by the vessel on a isolated island.

Suzanne Rees had been trekking on the remote island with other travelers from the cruise ship, but broke off from the excursion for a rest. The liner departed without her and returned several hours later after the ship staff became aware the lady was not present.

A large-scale hunt discovered her body the subsequent day.
