Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who leaped a barrier and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the Australian man pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was due to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes clips of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another response on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film interpretation of the popular theatrical production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising bond between two very different witches.

The production itself is a adaptation of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful film of last year in the UK, and earned 10 Oscar nominations, securing two for best costume and artistic direction.
