Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match victorious run came to an end by Sunderland before the global hiatus, but can the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's latest record, the new release, is out on Friday.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend football side," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our team for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.

A family member advised me to get Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the road this season, and Brighton are always strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

They have got plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of October.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
