Former Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors report that a ex- doctor has been charged with carrying out sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One senior CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what police called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors said the 45 charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
