The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in an LA Car Crash

Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"This represents a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
